Cynthia Ann Crawford was born 20th February 1966. She is an American model, actress and television host. In the 80s and 90s, she was among the most sought-after supermodels and a ubiquitous presence on runways and magazine covers and fashion advertisements. Later on she diversified her acting skills and entered business. In her sophomore year of high school, she got a call from a local clothing store for modeling jobs and was shocked to find out it was a prank played by two of her classmates. Crawford was among the high school students hired by a different store, and also did a fashion shoot. Roger Legel (a local photographer) approached Crawford in her junior year to shoot her. The shoot was the shooting of Crawford for the magazine. Her positive comments and the photograph convinced her to start modeling. She started with a small agency. Elite Model Management bought it soon after she signed. In 1983, she participated in Elite's Look of the Year contest at age 17 and won the finals at national level.
